今回からモノコックの製作に入ります。モノコックは主にレジンパーツで構成されています。まずは修正箇所を確認しながら、全体の組み立て方法を検討していきます。
From this stage, I will begin work on the monocoque.
The monocoque is mainly composed of resin parts.
First, I check the areas that require correction and plan the overall assembly process.
仮組みを行いながらモノコックの大まかな整形と調整を行います。また、必要な箇所にはピンバイスで下穴を開けておきます。
While test-fitting the parts, the monocoque is roughly shaped and adjusted.
Pilot holes are also drilled in the necessary areas using a pin vise.
組立説明書では、この赤丸で示したパーツはシートと一体で取り付けるよう指示されていますが、今回は組立方法を変更します。
According to the instruction manual, the circled part is meant to be installed together with the seat, but I will change the assembly method.
組立説明書の通りに組み立てると、完成後にこの部分の段差が目立ってしまいます。そこで組立方法を変更し、このパーツを先に取り付けて段差を修正することにしました。
If assembled according to the instruction manual, a noticeable step would remain in this area after completion.
Therefore, I decided to change the assembly method and install the part beforehand so that the step can be corrected.
パーツを取り付けて段差を大まかに修正した後、シートやメーターパネル周辺を仮組みしながら、さらに修正が必要な箇所を確認します。
After installing the part and roughly correcting the step, the seat and meter panel area are temporarily assembled to check for any areas that require further adjustment.
シートやメーターパネル周辺の整形と補修を行います。
The seat and the surrounding meter panel area are refined and repaired.
大まかな修正が完了しました。コックピット内部の曲面はパテを使って整形していきます。
The major corrections have now been completed.
The curved surfaces inside the cockpit are refined using putty.
パテが乾燥したら、表面を丁寧に整形します。
これにより、先ほどの段差も解消されました。
Once the putty has dried, the surface is carefully refined.
The step mentioned earlier has also been corrected with this process.
